About this page

Kurdish civic learning: campaigns, petitions, rights. Civic learning for Kurds in every country. Campaigns, petitions and consultations under the charter, non-partisan, with every claim linked to a source.

Civic learning for life where Kurds live, and for public life everywhere. It teaches and never campaigns: no party, candidate or armed actor is endorsed.

Campaigns

  • Count us in proposed; decision D10: Explain how each census and survey asks about birthplace, ancestry, ethnicity and language, so people can answer freely.
  • Teach the mother tongue proposed; decision D10: More trained teachers and shared materials for weekend and community schools in Kurmanji, Sorani, Zazaki, Southern Kurdish and Gorani.
  • Safe by default proposed; decision D10: Members and their families keep their accounts safe and can recognise phishing and impersonation.

Programmes

  • Rights literacy in-preparation: Plain-language learning on human rights systems and the rule of law.
  • Civic participation in-preparation: Taking part in public life where you live, country by country.
  • Media literacy in-preparation: Skills to judge sources, spot manipulation and stay safe online.
  • Dialogue in-preparation: Moderated dialogue across divides, including between Kurdish communities, dialects and faiths.
  • Newcomer guides in-preparation: Plain guides to asylum, residence and public services in host countries, with referrals.
  • Statelessness and documents in-preparation: Information on civil documents and statelessness for Kurds who lack papers.
