KCO

Federation

How the federation works

KCO is a federation of a Global level, Regional Chapters and Diaspora Chapters, and Community Cells chartered by Chapters in cities, campuses and professional networks. It is strictly non-partisan and non-violent, and claims no public authority.

Read the charter

01Chapters and Community Cells

Regional Chapters serve the homeland and the region. Diaspora Chapters serve Kurds abroad. Each charters Community Cells in cities, campuses and professional networks, and fits the shared method to local law and local risk.

Minimum controls of every Chapter

  1. Integrity lead for neutrality and conflicts of interest
  2. Protected participation mechanism and anti-doxxing rules
  3. Basic financial transparency for local funds
  4. Recordkeeping and version discipline
  5. Escalation pathway to KCO integrity bodies

Recognition states

  1. Chartered
  2. Suspended
  3. De-chartered

02Communities of practice

The charter’s Standards areas meet in the Academy as communities of practice. They set shared definitions, indicators, evidence protocols and toolkits. Chapters and Community Cells adopt them by choice.
